Three courses to choose from

Something to look forward to, every week.

Photography, gardening, and watercolour — each one designed for adults who are new to the subject and prefer to go at an easy, enjoyable pace.

Back to home

Three courses, each complete in itself

You don't need to have tried anything like this before, and you don't need to commit to more than one course at a time. Each class is self-contained — a fixed series of sessions with a consistent small group, a patient instructor, and printed notes to take home.

Have a look through all three and see which one you're most drawn to. There's no right or wrong choice — just whichever sounds most like the kind of afternoon you'd enjoy.

A few things worth knowing before you decide

You don't need anything in advance

No equipment, no prior experience, no preparation. All three courses start from the very beginning. For photography, even a smartphone camera is perfectly suited to the first sessions.

Groups are small by design

Each group has between four and eight participants. That's small enough that you'll know everyone's name before the second session, and the instructor can pay genuine attention to each person.

The pace is unhurried throughout

Sessions are not timed or graded. If something takes longer, there's room for that. The aim is that everyone leaves each session feeling settled and a little more confident — not rushed or behind.

You can ask anything

Questions are welcomed, not tolerated. If something isn't clear, or if you'd like to go over something again, you're encouraged to say so. That's what the small group size makes possible.

Not sure which one to choose?

That's a perfectly reasonable place to be. If you'd like, just send us a short message with a little about what you're looking for, and we'll help you think through which course might suit you best — without any pressure to decide today.
